One of the best known mysteries of the Death
Valley National Monument has been the WANDER-
ING ROCKS of THE RACE TRACK. No one has
seen them move, but there is evidence in a maze
of tracks that the rocks - from pebble size up
to 600 lbs. - do move about. One explanation:
rain makes the lake bed slick and wind does the
rest.
