New articulated trolley is ready to depart the
Santa Fe Amtrak Depot in Center City San
Diego, CA for the sixteen mile trip to San Ysidro
at the International Border. Fourteen of these
model U2 light rail vehicles, built by Siemens/
DuWag of Dusseldorf, Germany provide service.
Service started in mid-1981, on U.S.A.'s newest
trolley line.
