Here we find a party camped near the famous
John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada of California.
Each summer Wampler Trail Trips conducts riding
and hiking pack trips into the region. The opera-
tion continues for 8 weeks and is broken into 8
sections, so a trip here can be fitted to any
vacation schedule. The Muir Trail is about 200
miles long and is within the boundaries of Yose-
mite and Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Parks
and Sierra and Inyo National Forests. It traverses
the mountains Muir called "The Range of Light."
