The Beale Memorial Clock Tower
Additional Details:
The Beale Memorial Clock Tower stood for nearly 50 years in the downtown Bakersfield intersection of Chester Avenue and Seventeenth. It was removed after being severely damaged in the earthquake of 1952. The tower which now stands beside the Kern County Museum is an exact replica, using some of the original components including clock and gong, metal work, and roof. At the extreme left is the entrance to the Museum's famous Pioneer Village. |
