| The Pismo Clam is founded along the California Coast near the area of Pismo Beach to above Morro Bay. The clam is taken at low tide when the clamer, with the use of a for, digs into the sand. All under-size clams must be returned to the hole, if left on the top of the sands they will die or birds will skill them. thousands of people come each year at the years lowest tide. At the best this is a wet cold job but old and young men and women enjoy the product of their labor . . . M. P. |
