SAN FRANCISCO'S MARITIME MUSEUM
The first such museum on the West Coast, was founded by
a non-profit association of shipping-minded San Franciscans
in 1951. It now ranks among the city's top tourist and educa-
tional attractions, with an attendance of a quarter of a
million people annually. The Museum boasts one of the
finest ship-model collections in the United States.
