Keeneland Race Course occupies about 150 acres of old Keene Place, founded on a tract of approximately 8,000 acres granted by Patrick Henry, then Governor of Virginia, to his Kinsman, Francis Keene. The 1 1/16 mile oval track is considered one of the fastest in the country; grandstand seats 2,500 Spring and summer meets. |
