Sunset On Mount Rainier
Additional Details:
As the lights of Seattle come on at dusk the mammoth white cone of "The mountain that was God," as the Indians called Mount Rainier, reflects the last rays of the sun setting into the Pacific Ocean. It looks like a dish of pink ice cream, if you can imagine such a thing, rising 14,410 feet above the sea. Mount Rainier National Park may be visited on bus tours from either Tacoma or Seattle, both union Pacific gateways to the Park. |
