ZUNI INDIAN PUEBLO
Largest of Indian Pueblos; south of Gallup, New
Mexico, located on the banks of the Zuni River.
Surrounded by a valley of rich farm lands tilled
by the Zuni men. The women aside from being
good housekeepers, pottery makers and bead workers.
have neat family gardens below the pueblo along
the river shore. Each evening they irrigate their
gardens by carrying water from the river in their
water jars filled by use of gourd dippers.
