SEASHORE TROLLEY MUSEUM
Kennebunkport, Maine
Boston's transit system is well represented at the
Seashore Trolley Museum, and one of the finest
examples of old-time Hub streetcars is No. 1059.
Built in 1895 by the Barney & Smith Car Co. (of
Dayton, Ohio), it ran for many years on the Belt
Line, which, among other points, served Boston's
historic Scollay Square. The exterior of the car
has been extensively restored, and similar
will be given to its interior.
