Additional Details:
Seashore's No. 5060 is one of 50 semi-convertibles built by the J.G. Brill Company of Philadelphia, Pa., for the Boston Elevated Railway in 1906, and initially was operated in the East Boston Tunnel. Later transferred to surface routes, they were all retired between 1922 and 1929. No. 5060 was converted to a compressor car for the Boston Elevated's maintenance department in 1928 and was acquired in 1954 by the Seashore museum, where its reconversion to a passenger car is in progress
