Original oil paintings by some of the
known artists of the American Southwest are ex-
hibited on the walls in this hallway in a Placita
Dining Rooms on the Old Town Plaza in Albu-
querque, New Mexico. The hadcarved walnuts EP
balustrade on the stairway was freighted, to
New Mexico by wagon train down the Old Santa
Fe Trail a century ago. La Placita Dining Rooms
occupy the historic Casa de Armijo, a Spanish
hacienda which dates back to Albuquerque's found-(
ing in 1706 as a Spanish villa near the banks of
the Rio Grande.
