LOOKING DOWN THE INCLINE, Lookout Mountain, Chat-
tanooga, Tennessee. The Incline is one of the feature attrac-
tions of Lookout Mountain and is the steepest passenger Incline
in the world. At its steepest point, just below the brow of the
mountain, a grade of 72.7% is reached. Its length from the
base to the summit is 4750 feet.
