The Texas Tower

| The Texas Tower is located on George's Bank, 110 miles due east of Chatham, Massachusetts. This is the first of five such radar stations to be stationed at sea - all of which will be at least 100 miles at Sea. The three domes on the top of the structure house radar antennas and the three dishes on the side are the tropospheric scatter radio telephone service to the mainland. The two tall spires are radio antennas for radio signals for communications and navigation. |
