B&H 44 ton G. e. locomotives, D-3 and D-1, with train for Bath, N. Y. interchange with the Erie Lackawanna after switching the wineries at Pleasant Valley, N. Y. Doubleheaded 44's were a common practice until August 1970 when 99 ton Alco's replaced the smaller locomotives. Not shown is the red side door caboose which was still hauling express in the 70's. |
