Additional Details:
This view shows the Kitchen as it was when the Lincolns lived here from 1844 to 1861. The home is the only one Lincoln ever owned. It was built in 1839 and he purchased this house and lot for $1,500 on May 2, 1844 from the Rev. Charles Dresser who had married him and Mary Todd on Nov. 4, 1842. In this house three of the Lincolns sons were born, Edward, William and Thomas, and Eddie died here in 1850. The Home of Abraham Lincoln is located on the Northeast corner of Eight and Jackson Streets and it contains many original Lincoln Possessions. Open daily to the public from 9 A. M. to 5 P. M
