Additional Details:
Angora goats are grown principally for their coast of mohair which are shorn either once or twice a year although there is an increasing demand for "chevon", goat meat. Nearly five-sixths of America's mohair comes from southwest Texas. It goes into the manufacture of high grade plush, thin summer suitings and a great verity of fabrics. Long mohair is widely used in making wigs.
