Christ Church, Frederica

Christ Church, Frederica, St. Simons Island, Georgia, was established in 1736 by John and Charles West founders of Methodism, who came to Geórgia at this time as missionaries of the Church of England. The present church edifice was built in 1884 By Anson Green Phelps Dodge, Jr., as a memorial to his wife, Ellen Ada Phelps Dodge.
