Greetings From Fort Cody Trading Post, Buffalo Bill's Home Town
Additional Details:
Fort Cody Trading Post, on U.S. 30 west, (Rodeo Road), is one of Nebraska's most interesting tourist stops. Fort Cody, built of heavy logs, with sentry towers, complete with ?armed guards?, is a replica of the fortifications of 1860 to 1875 era. Giant murals, showing the important incidents in the life of Buffalo Bill, are on the walls, painted by famous western artist, Gene McConnell. North Platte is truly proud to be the home of the old Buffalo Bill ranch, now a Nebraska State Park. |
