HOW COME THE HICK'RY PIT?
The first Hick'ry Pit opened in 1928. Hick'ry Pit
barbecuing is a direct descendant of the centuries
old system originated by the American Indians.
Our basting solution, Pyracure, coupled with the
open fire of blended woods, gives the meat a
distinctive flavor; and best of all, retains the
juices and prevents the meat from shrinking.
