HOPE-PRINCETON HIGHWAY SLIDE
On Saturday, January 9, 1965 at approximately
4 a.m. Johnson's Peak broke in half and plunged
4,000 feet into the valley below. The Hope-Princeton
Highway #3 was covered approximately 300 feet
deep and a mile and a half long. The slide is about 10
miles east of Hope and 105 miles from Vancouver.
