Additional Details:
Slim's Place in the ghost town of Ballarat in Panamint Valley (Calif.) was the home of prospector Seldom Seen Slim at the time of his death in 1968. Seldom Seen slim, whose given name was Charles Ferge, was the region's last one-burro-and-a-blanket prospector, but he too finally left his burros for a jeep.
