Faneuil Hall was a gift to the people of Boston,
Massachusetts, from Peter Faneuil, built in
1742. It was the scene of mass meetings prior
to the Revolution, and here, James Otis spoke
on March 14, 1763 on the case of freedom,
gaining it the title "Cradle of Liberty."
