| The Suffolk Resolves, drawn earlier at Dedham by Joseph Warren, were adopted September 9, 1774 by the delegates from Suffolk County at this, the Vose Tavern, in Milton, Massachusetts. The Resolves were one of the earliest and boldest declarations of refusal of obedience to the oppressive acts of Parliament. |
