THE OLD SLOOP
ROCKPORT, MASSACHUSETTS
First Congregational Church in Rockport,
built in 1804. The name "Old Sloop"
derives from the historic fact that the
church was mistaken for a Sloop and
fired upon by a British frigate in the
War of 1812.
