at INDEPENDENCE NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK

INDEPENDENCE HALL - the most historic structure in our
country. Both the Declaration of Independence and the
Constitution were signed here.
CONGRESS HALL (on right) was the Capitol of the United
States from 1790 to 1800.
OLD CITY HALL (on left) housed the United States Su-
preme Court from 1791 to 1800. Here the Court heard its
first case.
INDEPENDENCE MALL (foreground) is a 3-block open
stretch of grass and tree-lined walkways offering a splen-
did view of these famous Colonial structures.
