Close to the hearts of every San Franciscan
are these quaint little cable cars, that have
become traditional. Visitors to San Francisco
climb aboard for their first exciting ride on
the cars that go clanging and bouncing up
and down and over the hills. At the foot of
Powell and Market, a famous corner, is a
turntable where the cars are turned around
for the return trip.
