BRIDGING SAN FRANCISCO BAY- This
marvelous bridge is being erected at a total esti-
mated cost of $71,000,000, the bridge proper
$55,000,000 and it is expected will be open for
traffic early in 1937. Total length about five
miles. Maximum height of towers above water
505 feet. Maximum depth of piers below water
235 feet. The bridge will connect San Francisco
with Oakland.
