Office witnesses hard work unseen by the general
public. President Reagan previews pressing bus-
iness with top aides, Chief of Staff, James Baker
and Counsellor Ed Meese. First, there is a meet-
ing of two dozen staffers, refining plans for the
day and near future. The President and top aides
speak in clipped phrases, exchange papers, and
go over the day's agenda.
