President Reagan enjoys his Thanksgiving visit to Del Cielo in the Santa Ynez Mountains near Santa Barbara, California. Nancy and the president ride horseback for a few hours in the mornings, and in the afternoon he cuts and clears brush. This life gives him solitude and a sense of making one's own way – his house is heated solely by wood and uses all he can stack. Here we see him taking a breather, listening to frogs, noticing deer, and inhaling the brilliant expanse of unpolluted air. November 24, 1981. |
