Additional Details:
Ronald Reagan pleasing the crowd in Billings. Montana with his 10 gallon hat, a big smile and riding atop an authentically restored Wells Fargo & Co. coach. Reagan was here to “sell” his tax package as well as explaining his views and appealing directly to the people via Prime-time television. He interpreted the tax package as a crackdown measure to “see to it that everyone pays his fair share”, rather than as a tax increase. August 11, 1982.
