President Reagan Visits The Vietnam Memorial
Additional Details:
President Reagan visits the Washington, D. C. Vietnam Veterans Monument. Just as the Vietnam War was enveloped in controversy, so was the monument to the war; but the architect, veteran's organizations, and critics-at-large settled their differences and dedicated the monument to the soldiers of “The Forgotten War.” Visitors, including President Reagan, thought it was a fitting, effective monument with the names of all fallen warriors etched in stone.
