Nancy Reagan enjoys President Reagan's white horse (and
the exercise) as she corrals El Alamein, a gift from the
President of Mexico, Miguel De la Madrid. Toward the end of
August, the President traveled to Mexico for a return visit
with De la Madrid to discuss their profound disagreements
over how to handle the crisis in Central America. The two
leaders signed an agreement to protect their 2,000-mile
common border from pollution; however, both sides agreed
to disagree about Central America. June 30, 1983
