The YA-37A was a modified T-37B trainer used to
evaluate the design as a counter-insurgency attack/
reconnaissance aircraft. YA-37A at AF Museum,
W-PAFB, Ohio, was first retired in 1964, but re-
turned to service in 1966 for design testing of
A-37 attack aircraft needed for ground support in
SE Asia. It was retired again in 1970.
