ST. JOHN'S IN THE WILDERNESS
HISTORICAL EPISCOPAL CHURCH
HENDERSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA.
Built in 1833-34 by Charles Baring for his per-
sonal Chapel, and consecrated in 1836 on Color King
August 28th by the Rev. L.S. Ives, Bishop of
North Carolina. In 1852 it was rebuilt and given
to the State of North Carolina.
