Back:
Here is the massive beacon tower on top of
grass-covered Kill Devil Hill, where the
Governor of North Carolina wants to place
the original Wright airplane. It is now in
England, sent there by Orville Wright, after
the Smithsonian Institution refused to lable it
as the first airplane capable of flight. Now,
however, the Institution has finally admitted
that the Curtiss plane-a rival-could not
have been flown, thus paving the way for
return of the precious relic to America.
