The Sterling Law Building facing the Library on Wall
Street was designed by James Gamble Rogers, Yale 1889,
and completed in 1931. The funds for its construction
were provided from the estate of John A. Sterling. Yale
1864. The Law Library is located on the top floor along
High Street. An interesting view of gables, chimneys and
roofs can be seen from the Cloister in the main court,
