Old South Church, Boston.-Old South Church is situated
in the heart of Boston where the thoroughfare is heaviest,
and with a big sky-scraper surrounding it, is an odd and
beautiful sight. The old clock still keeps time. It was
the first church in Boston in which religious services were
held commemorating the Declaration of Independence.
the early days it was the garrison church where the Brit-
ish soliders marched down with their bands for regular
church service.
