Series 11 A submarine at full speed makes 18 knots an hour on the surface - about 12 knots when submerged. The craft shown here has accommodations for the crew - 22 men and two officers. Gone are the days when our sub-sea craft had to stay close to the side of her large sister ship to provide the crew with proper living quarters. If only J. P.
