Vanilla Ice Cream, By Mary J. Lincoln, Author boston Cook Book. Heat one quart of thin cream in a double boiler until scalding hot. Melt in it ine scant cup of sugar. Cool and then add two large teaspoons of Foss' Pure Extract of Vanilla or one of Lemon or orange if preferred. Freeze as usual. Cream is the most delicate medium known for testing pure and delicate flavors, Particularly does this apply to that most delicate and delicious flavor, Vanilla when it is pure. So in flavoring Ice Cream only the very purest and finest extract should be used. This desired flavor you will obtain by using Foss' Pure Extract of Vanilla, Lemopn or Orange.
