Series V-88 Built at a cost of approximately $10,000,000 and completed in the fall of 1957, this building is the largest welded steel frame structure in the world. It embodies the msot modern electronic parcel sorting machines. Has a helicopter field of 260 feet by 285 feet. Underneath, there is a half-mile-long tunnel which conveys mail between the Post Office and the C.P.R. Station. |
