PORT AUTHORITY
WEST 30TH STREET HELIPORT
The Port Authority-West 30th Street Heliport,
Manhattan's first commercial heliport, was opened
in 1956. Scheduled passenger, mail and cargo ser-
vice between the heliport and Newark, Teterboro,
La Guardia and New York International airports,
and the cities of White Plains, New York, and
Stamford, Connecticut, is provided by New York
Airways 15-passenger helicopters.
