Fergus's Ark, floating Seafood Restaurant, has a fine reputation for serving the best steaks and chops as well as al types of fresh seafood. The Ark was built here in Wilmington in 1922 and has served as an army troop transport, a banana boat, a gambling boat and as a coast guard quarter boat until purchased by Eldridge Fergus in 1951 and converted into a floating restaurant and docked at the foot of Princess Street on the Cape Fear River in Wilmington, N.C.
