UNITED STATES SENATE
The first official photograph of the Senate in
session shows the voting to ratify the atomic
test ban treaty, September 24, 1963. The Vice
President presides over the Senate. The public
may watch from the galleries of the Chamber in
the north wing of the Capitol. For passes of
admission, a visitor may go to his Senator's
office or consult a doorman.
