BAVARIAN FESTIVAL PARADE

The annual Bavarian Festival has been held the
second full week in June since 1959 to commem-
orate the heritage of Frankenmuth's original
settlers. Opening the Big Parade on Sunday, is the
Frankenmuth High School Band dressed in authen-
tic Lederhosen. The parade consists of over 100
entries, including colorful floats, beauty queens,
dignitaries, high-stepping marching bands, horses,
and of course, clowns to the delight of almost
75,000 viewers.
