Harkness Memorial Tower, part of the Memorial Quadrangle given by Mrs. Stephen V. Harkness in memory of her son, Charles W. Harkness, '83. James Gamble Rogers, '89, architect. Dwight Memorial Chapel, originally designed by Henry Austin, in 1842 to house the Yale Library has been a chapel since 1931. Its name commemorates Timothy Dwight, the elder, and his grandson of the same name, both former Presidents of Yale.
