The Hague, an inlet of the Elizabeth River
and yacht basin. So named by early citizens
of Norfolk because of their kindly feeling for
Holland at_time of the signing of the Treaty
of Ghent. The church facing the Hague is an
example of Gothic architecture and declared
by many architects to be one of the most
beautiful churches in the United States.
