Additional Details:
Central Station at 12the Street and Michigan Boulevard - a Chicago landmark since 1893. Ground was first broken on June 4, 1892, and the building opened to public April 17, 1893. It now serves three major roads; the Illinois central, Michigan Central and the Big 4 route, all completely electrified within the city's limits, and each an important thread in vast, orderly network of rail lines that makes Chicago the transpiration center of the world. in the background on the lake front are the Field Museum and Soldiers field, newer monuments to Chicago's greatness and advancement.
