Mrs. Warren g. Harding. President Warren g. Harding. Dr. George Tyron Harding (the President's Father). President Warren G. Harding was born November 2nd, 1865, at Blooming Grove, Ohio. He attended school and college in his home State, and then became a school teacher, after which, he went into the newspaper business in Marion. Ohio. On July 8th 1891,he married Miss Florence Kling, of Marion, Ohio. Was a member of the Ohio Senate 1900-1904, and Lieutenant Governor of Ohio 1904-1906. In 1910 he received the degree of Doctor of Law from the Northern Ohio University, was elected United States Senator 1915-1921, and, on his 55th birthday was elected President of the United States. Dr. George Tyron Harding, father of President Warren g. Harding, was seventy-six years old on the day his son was nominated for President. |
