Near Sylvan Lake looms Harney Peak, the
highest mountain between the Rocky Moun-
tains and the Atlantic Ocean. The three mile
trail from the Lake to the Summit of Harney
is one of increasing scenic splendor. From
the forest service lookout station on the
peak, a good view is obtainable of the Moun-
tain Range.
